Celeriac, also know as knob celery, is shaped something like a turnip but can be eaten raw or cooked like a celery. The root is the commonly eaten part of the celeriac because it has a very high nutritional value and has plenty of health benefits as it is high in fibre, Vitamin C and essential minerals. The root contains no fat and can be used in a variety of ways; whether this be raw in salads or cooked, boiled, mashed or stewed.
